Hadleigh Castle.

Hate to let the weather dictate my mood.....but....it was another pretty miserable day.  Had to go west to the Hadleigh end of the Estuary and decided to walk Ginny dog at Hadleigh Castle.  There was a new Info board so I thought I would photo it before it gets graffiti'd.  The castle was quite impressive in its heyday (building commenced in 1215) but fell into decline and was sold off for building materials after 1551.  All that is left is the shell of the tower in top left and a bit of the adjacent one far left. Nice walk up there with commanding views of the Estuary hence the strategic placement. It is virtually impossible to take a good image of the remaining structures but one day I will try!
