Roam checks his Twitter feed to be sure that we really have scored a second goal and secured our place in the quarter-final of Euro 2020. Whiskey got so excited that he ran off to do his own celebration - or it could be that Roam freaked him out with cheering so loud when the ball went in. This English team is now carrying a huge weight of expectation. For once, the belief of the fans and the belief of the team seems well matched.

And elsewhere, in the Tour de France, Mark Cavendish won the sprint stage. What a moment. What a story. What a man.

As I post this I realise that it's been two weeks since the last. I honestly have no idea how that happens. I always seem to have my head in something else.
