Water Fight for the win

We tried to have a fun family day today. The kids were super excited as we decided to head to a pool a friend told us about - free if you buy some food and drink. Anyway we got there and today is the first day they've introduced passes, and it was just too expensive for us. Poor Asha and Nate were so so disappointed, but were both brilliant in dealing with it. We decided to go up north and play mini golf, again, both so excited!! We got there and they said that because of restrictions no-one is allowed to play on the pitch yet - more disappointment for the kids! Anyway, whilst eating lunch we had the brain wave of a water fight with Asha's friend, Cami. We went and got these 2€ water guns and biiiig bottles of water, and at 7 met Cami and her parents in this lovely park near theirs. The kids had an absolute blast and the day was saved!
Another good point in the day was bumping into one of the homeless women who is really unreliable because of her drug habit. She needed clothes and a sleeping bag...we arranged a meet point and time and I held out very little hope of her being there (because she usually doesn't manage to!), but she showed up!!!

Today I'm grateful for;
1) The kids dealing well with disappointment - it's hard as an adult let alone as kids...
2) Simple fun.
3) Time to chat with Arlesiu.
