‘Urban Foraging’

That’s the term used by the locals as at the end of every spring term the graduating classes from the universities around Falmouth empty out their rented premises onto the pavements with “Free Help Yourself” signs.
On one walk around the neighbourhood a young couple recently picked up an unused six piece dinner service plus cutlery, toaster, kettle, mixer, iron and a host of other bits ‘n’ pieces. It’s not limited to portable items either, beds, tables, chairs etc line the pavements.
Just glad I’m not one of the parents that paid for it all.
Paddy is on the mend, he is now back to towing me round Falmouth on our walks and the walks are gradually getting longer, it shouldn’t take long until we are back to the full distance.
