Escape

Already by 11 am this morning my office was getting too hot to work in. So I texted Lauralea to see if she wanted to escape to the city a while. I didn’t have to ask her twice.

Off we went and ate some lunch in an air conditioned place. Very nice.

Then we went to the mall and picked up a few things we needed, taking our sweet time. We were in no rush to leave the cool air.

The afternoon went by quickly and we were tired. So we decided to stop at a real restaurant for some supper and a rest, which was a great idea. We ate and talked, rested and cooled off. Then we drove home.

It turned out to be a great escape. It helped us manage the heat of the day and eat some food. We tend not to be hungry when it’s so hot and that doesn’t help either.

It was a good day. :)
