It's All About Eve

This week has had so many ups and downs, the most I've experienced in a long time. Lots of energy required and little in supply. Do you know the feeling?

When I awoke at 3.30am this morning and couldn't get back to sleep, I decided to check out the Stamford Advocate online. You see, we have been waiting on an article to be published regarding a special event tomorrow. Seeing a story in the press made me smile. This was great news, two days before our special event.

When I awoke properly this morning and read some mails over breakfast, Paul Larson had emailed me a hyperlink, which I assumed was the one I had read in the early hours of the morning. It wasn't. It was much more than that, and extremely well written by journalist Christina Hennessy.

Tonight, Paul and I went to the Loft Arts Gallery and set up the 'stage' for the unveiling of the painting and the song. We covered the painting with a cloth and used the easel to prop up some cover songs I had printed off on paper. It felt good doing what Paul and I love to do: play music in this great Loft Arts space. He did a great improv' on my take of 'People Get Ready'. We both joined in on 'Angel from Montgomery' and The Beatles' 'In My Life'. A lovely calm moment before the potential excitement of tomorrow.

I never thought tomorrow would come.

But tonight, it's all about eve.
