A busy, non-stop day that didn't finish until I got into the second half of 2021!
The new cleaner comes on a Wednesday morning, so I had to wake early to get the place ready. Thankfully, I was and everything was fine. All done in under two hours, which makes me wonder about his thoroughness, but then I remembered, I'd run the hoover through!
G announced she wanted to buy a book to give to her student, so I suggested she phone first to save time. *Good idea*. There was just one copy available in a mall which we would not normally go to, so we raced over to pick it up, and then we went to City Centre. For months now, our Longines watches have needed new batteries. The branch in DCC has a technician who replaces batteries while you wait but he only starts at midday, so it's been a challenge trying to organise a trip there. Glad this job is finally done as five watches needed his attention! We had lunch at Gazebo (first time for me) while we waited.
Home for a couple of hours before we headed out again, this time to Wafi (again). G's 4get-me-not group organised a screening of the Anthony Hopkins movie "The Father". Members were allowed to take a friend this time, so I was thrilled as I've been wanting to watch this movie and also to visit this new cinema! There was free popcorn too! :))
There was an awareness drive before the screening with live entertainment and interviews with members and volunteers. G came home with a bouquet! I had a video that I needed to complete and post, preferably before midnight, but that didn't happen. I was glad to get to my bed at 2 am!
