Small White Butterfly

Murky in Edinburgh, but I knew there would be better weather further south, so for the morning bike ride I headed south. Once I had climbed up the hill from Auchendinny, the sun appeared, and it stayed with me for the rest of the ride. I did my 50 mile ride Scottish Borders ride clockwise. So nice to be cycling in summer weather. The ride can be seen at Relive here.

In the afternoon, the sun has made it's way north. A very pleasant walk up to Swanston. This year, there haven't been very many butterflies, so it was nice to see this Small White Butterfly. A sign that summer must be on the way is that the Red Hot Poker plant near Lothianburn has started to come in to flower.
