After Effects

Strange what jumps out at you. I suppose it was the bright orange amongst the dark green shade. The few daylilies along this stretch don't seem to be doing so well. But, we're just on the cusp of summer flowers and there isn't a lot of colour about yet. The beauty of decaying flowers I think lies in their wrinkled texture.

I subdued the greens somewhat to enhance the bright orange, although I do like the way the diagonal leaf shapes break up the image. I wish I had paid more attention when I took the shot. Note to self.
