A short drive so we could cycle along the Whitegate trail, and then into the Delamere forest. The routes were dry so my timid off road skills were not tested too much. There was nothing of note (please see extra) along the way, although towards the end we came across the magnificent Alps. They may perhaps have just been spoil heaps from a nearby salt mine.
