Grantchester

Headed to local shop for bread. Saw the 'England' cakes in the window.  Good grief!
Cycled through town - bad idea!   Graduation day and the centre was heaving with graduates and parents. All close together and no masks. Was glad to get clear.  Discovered Maison Clement, a delightful boulangerie/ patisserie where I purchased croissants for the weekend.
Met A for a walk and catch up to Grantchester. It was a hot and humid afternoon but there was some shade on the way.
Reached the Orchard Tea Rooms for refreshment.  We were informed that we could sit in the Orchard garden but they couldn't serve us as they'd been alerted to customers that morning having covid19. One of the staff complained about students from the private schools being unsafe and disregarding everyone else.  Sadly this meant trade lost. What a sheme.
Cycled back home through Friday rush hour impatient traffic. Very hot on arrival chez moi. 
I made an iced coffee using coffee ice cubes from the freezer - very refreshing.
Thunderstorms forecast this evening and tomorrow.
