Wednesday

Started week with scheduled vet appointment to have lump on hound's foot removed.  Procedure: no food from midnight previous day, water only.  Hound admitted 8.30am with preliminary blood test to guage if due to his impending 12th birthday, all ok to proceed with op. Approximately 11am vet phones while I'm in noisy market: not happy about kidneys: phosphate level low - I'm in the dark - may be sign of age-related kidney failure, urinary tract infection, and he's dehydrated. Not had drink since last night. More tests - poor dog!  No UTI, more samples from lump (my suggestion), and possibly low phosphate because dehydrated.  Blood test to be done after results of lump samples.  So glad to have him back home after 5pm. He was very subdued but hungry after being prodded and poked.  Had a quiet Tuesday.
Today cast iron base of rotary washing line broke.  Second one. Had to prop line against shed. Need concrete block as base.  Where do I get one?
OH watching footie. I'm going to settle with Danish series New Nurses.  Perfect distraction from country death-wish Boris.
Stay safe everyone despite all government intentions.
