Social time at the bird bath

These two young siskin spent some time together at the bird bath this morning. I love watching all the young birds around the garden and it looks like the blackbirds are feeding a second clutch of chicks.
Later in the day I was painting at the Community Orchard shelter again. We have now used up all our paint so will need to wait until we purchase some more before we can give the outside walls a third and final coat.
Meanwhile the fruit trees and bushes seem to be doing well, with lots of apples and some pears. In the fruit cage there is an abundance of currants of various colours as well as blue berries. Altogether, a very pleasing sight considering the very cold spring we had.
