Flax cutter

After a good night's sleep I felt a lot better. Still, better to play it safe and kept warm inside. That was a good decision because the ends with me feeling poorly again. I'm definitely fighting off a cold.

I have a penchant for quality gardening tools. This is a Japanese flax cutter with a serious looking forged steel blade. I don't grow flax but I do have fibrous plants and this is suitable for cutting them back.

I had hoped to test it out today but I'm not up to wielding sharp tools. I'll need to be in the present moment when I'm using this.

Today's gratitude: For a delightful long phone call with my lovely sister. She's great and I'm fortunate to have her in my life.
