On summer holiday next 30 days!
Today was my last work day before summer holiday! My brain, damaged by chemotherapy poison is very thankful! (People are not aware of long-term side effects of cancer treatment: at least I didn't know before I faced them by myself)
You never know in the morning, where you'll find yourself in the evening! Hubby made a bargain of a weight lifting bench, and we picked it up from Sastamala. We decided to continue driving to Äetsä/Keikyä, to see Finland's longest wooden suspension bridge, which is 228 meters long. It was very impressive and beautiful bridge!
The original bridge was built in 1948. In 2018 is was stated that if the bridge won't be renovated, it will be closed after three years, because it was in poor condition. Keikyä Heritage Society decided to build a new bridge with voluteer workers. After 12 000 work hours the new bridge was opened for public in October 2020.
Near the bridge is Äetsä hydroelectric power stations, where we also had a stroll.
In the evening Emma left to Pori for a cottage weekend with her friends.
+24,8°C, sunny
