Water Lilies

These aren't what I expected to find on an allotment! It was our town's open gardens today in aid of one of the local hospices. In the end we only managed to fit one visit in of all that were open and that was to the allotments. They are normally locked so it was a treat to go in and see how they looked. One of them had wooden bench seats around a small pond so the owners could relax once their gardening was done.  The weather wasn't the best for the open gardens as there were a few showers but there seemed to be plenty of visitors around. 

This morning I watched a super talk by 3 very creative photographers and this afternoon I also wanted to watch some of the tennis. It was a shame that our remaining mens singles player lost his match but he was up against Federer who does seem to be getting into form. The best part was that an 18 year old young British lady won her match and has got into the second week.
