An t-Òban
An early start to catch the local train and then the Oban bus for a long overdue catch up/leisurely lunch with three former colleagues/friends. It was an added bonus and complete coincidence that in the coffee shop we met J and C, sailing off the west coast and escaping from small grandchildren for a bit of quiet time. A highly sociable few hours, and not a few reminders about how relieved I am to have escaped the workplace when I did. In my view acceptance of complexity and ambiguity is integral to leadership, I sense that’s being forgotten. Easy of course for me to say in these strange times.
Coming back in the train I observed that out of the seven people I could see, four were masked and three were maskless. For once I succeeded in noticing without getting annoyed/ anxious.
