Comic Relief Bake Off

Lots of kids in fancy dress, pyjamas and onsies at the station this morning. The BT tower was sporting a special red nose day message.

Sold my red nose quiz sheets at lunchtime and raised about £32 - not bad going for a simple idea.

This is the table at work groaning with amazing goodies ready for our cake sale and the Bake Off judging. A rather lovely looking strawberry and chocolate cake won first prize. My malteser tray bake came in third, with a special commendation for 'best use of maltesers'! Think we raised quite a bit of cash and consumed even more calories.

Went straight to a Thai restaurant in town when I got home. Lots of my former colleagues had their final days at work this week. The redundancies are really kicking in now and the old teams are much diminished. We had a very nice meal and a good chance to catch up on what everyone is doing now.

Chance for a bit of a lie in tomorrow but husband will be up at the crack of dawn to go and collect son number one from Sheffield for the Easter break.
