Blue Door (And Cat)

We've been on a walking tour of Northleach this afternoon taking in all the doors. Some we liked, some we liked very much and some we didn't like at all. It has helped us decide exactly how we want our proposed replacement front door to look. We won't be going for blue. And we don't have a cat.

The visit we had yesterday from a door company has turned out to be potentially very useful. The company also do verandas and awnings and the prices they gave us over the phone this morning were much lower than the quotes we had received to date. They also suggested we might not even need an awning if we go for a bronzed glass roof. I'm not sure that will work but we are inclined to go for that initially, as long as we could then retrofit an awning if it was still too warm under it.

And the visit from the bathroom fitter was very positive yesterday so that is looking good for later in the year.
