Blowing in the Wind

Happily, Ermelinda tested negative, so we could have a few folk for an impromptu celebration for Mike's 67th. He chose scones over cake, so they were piled up and candles lit before we went outside (too windy for candles out there), "Happy Birthday" sung (pretty badly) in two languages, and candles extinguished - several times... to the delight of M and Y, Netty's two girls.

Then outside for warm scones (made with kefir) with cream and raspberry or strawberry jam - and a mug of tea.

Gratefuls:
- that we were let out of isolation just in time to be able to celebrate
- that C & E, and Netty and girls could come at such short notice
- a great rendition of "Happy Birthday" from the grandkids, and good chats with all the family during the day
- and, of course, for Mike, my very best friend
