Corn

We had a walk this morning.  A variety of weather including rain, wind and sunshine.  This year two fields have been planted with corn and it has been interesting to see the rate of growth.

Home for a shower and then off to a friend for lunch.  Gibraltar friend home for a few weeks and it was good to catch up.  Lots of laughs and lovely food ( two recipes which I will certainly try).  My friend  always worries about entertaining but pulls out all the stops - a very good hostess.

I had planned to go out in the garden when I got home (dahlias need staking) but the weather was horrible so it was an easy evening, watching football (again) to see who England would be playing if they reached the final.

It’s been a busy few days and tomorrow is another busy day - who said retirement was relaxing?
