No doubts here
A few days ago, I blipped a bindweed flower, and was uncertain about how well we welcomed it in our garden. We are in absolutely NO doubt about bracken, which is most definitely unwelcome. Whenever we see a frond, we pull it out. This one was removed immediately after the photo!
When we had the pond and meadow created, the chap who did it said airily (as the first fronds started appearing) "If you just keep pulling it up, it'll give up in the end" But in reality, the pleasure of having a field surrounding two sides of the garden which belongs to a charity, and hence is unlikely to be a building site in the near future means that there is an endless supply, and we have to accept that (like the moles) we will never eradicate it. Like the moles, it has the potential to travel underground for some distance before appearing on the surface. I have to admit, I generally tolerate the fronds in the hedge, but when it invades further into the garden, it is summarily pulled out. This is the only way we can control it.
