Woody nightshade

We had a trip up to Pensthorpe today.  Mostly sunny, but with a sharp shower as we were walking through the woods, so this is a rather damp specimen.  It's past its best, but the intense purple flower caught my eye.  I didn't know what it was till I looked it up before blipping.

W is now watching "the match" and though I am not a big football fan, and find watching England very stressful, I think I will join him, as listening to it from the study is equally stressful.
