Polperro

We drove round to Polperro this morning for a stroll around the quaint fishing village. Despite it obviously being a bit of a tourist honeypot, it wasn’t too busy and we were able to enjoy the views of the harbour, the narrow streets and whitewashed houses.

We then walked the coastal path to Talland Bay (see extra) where we had a crab sandwich at the beach side cafe.

Just as we were leaving for the walk back we heard my name being called and it turned out to be an ex-pupil of mine, who had been in my tutor group. It turned out that she is actually down here on honeymoon, having flown home from Vietnam where she teaches in an International school. It was certainly one of those strange coincidences that seem to happen quite regularly and we had a very pleasant chat before we set off back to Polperro.

We’re now back at the cottage, looking forward to the England v Denmark game.
