Out East

A lovely Japanese lunch with Ian and Ken followed by a trip to Broadway Market.

The latter was an experience of contrasts. Lovely food shops, but an economic divide among residents that is getting wider.

Most annoying for me (and the dog) were cyclists who ignore the cycle paths and ride anywhere they like. I felt genuinely concerned I'd be knocked over if I didn't walk slowly and in a straight line.

For me, the delight in walking is the ability to be distracted.
