Missing Little Lucy...
...already. She's so cute and funny. She has started taking off Granddad's Lancashire accent like Amelia. For a couple of wee Scot's lassies they've got him off to a tee!
Imitating people runs in my family - in a nice way!
We set off in the direction of home this morning. It will take a while.
It has rained on and off all day and we both got drenched on the back deck - Frank whilst steering in a torrential downpour and me from the gushing water coming in the lockgates behind me as I waited for the lock to empty. The excessive rainfall over the last few days has been too much and the water overflows - extra. My jeans were sodden and I was squelching!
We got down the 12 Tinsley Locks with the help of Lou the lovely lady lockkeeper and 3 volunteers she was training up.
We got to Eastwood Lock this afternoon where there are CRT facilities so we could fill up with water and I could wash some clothes and towels. The awful weather of the last few days meant we had to change into fresh clothes more often and had to use quite a few dog towels for a muddy Bella May!
Once the laundry was done I showered Bella (she was filthy!)and gave the inside of the boat a thorough clean. Vacuumed, cleaned the bathroom and mopped the floors. I hung the washing out but with the intermittent heavy showers had to bring it all back in. The boat is like a Chinese Laundry! Is it PC to say that these days?:-/
But everything is clean including us two as we had nice hot showers.
Frank made a yummy stirfry and used the broccoli leaves from my grow box on top of the boat.
Now watching the footie. Denmark has just scored with a free kick.
I think England will have to work hard tonight ;-)
Oh England just scored! 1-1 just now!
I'm going to knit now while I watch the rest.
Thank you so much for the comments, stars and hearts for Amelia's Blip.
If anyone want's to watch her 2 minute routine there is the official 'Young Stars Sheffield' video on my FB page - Lizzie Birkett. I'll make my page public until tomorrow ;-)
