In A Spin

Yet another way to add some motion to an image, which I discovered by accident. My 100-400 lens mounts to a tripod by its lens collar and I attempted to turn the zoom ring with the shutter open to take a zoom burst. However, I hadn't secured the collar in position and instead of zooming, the whole lens moved around resulting in this image.

I don't know the technical term for it, so I called it Circular Blur.

Knowing a technique is one thing, finding an appropriate use for it is another. It reminds me of those films where the story goes back in time, or off to a dream sequence. I shall have to work up an idea.
