New and old

Today I ventured into the city centre for the first time in almost a year and it was for the same purpose as last time - to have a (very) belated birthday lunch with my cousin Alison.

As usual we met in Browns on George Square, and since neither of us was driving, we celebrated with a cheeky cocktail before our meal. Very civilised!

This is the newly-renovated façade of Queen Street station. I liked the contrast between its modern architecture and the old building across the street reflected in the glass.
