Pollokshaws Library

There are three of these tile murals on the ugly concrete wall of the library. I had always thought they represented something about the area before the library was built, including the old swimming pool. I asked when I was there today and the Librarian who didn’t know phoned someone who did. Rather disappointingly they don’t represent anything other than a generic theme of sport and activity. They brighten up the place and while there is nothing else positive to say about the outside, inside the library is very spacious meaning that it was one of the first to reopen after lockdown.
