More art therapy

The art therapy was with the Ricefield Arts centre and the topic was leaves, the blip is my example of a cheese plant. I've got the gist of loose drawing, and experimenting with colour and shading. I may progress to striding out on my own and having a bash at some of the cyclamen leaves which seem to be thriving, at the moment. I think the cooler and shadier weather suits them. I find it is all too easy to lose focus on zoom and go and do something  sideways.
in the early evening we joined (Zoom) a Glasgow Heritage talk on the east end. I am keen to seek out the Templeton's Carpet factory building which was modelled on the Doges Palace. Apparently I have seen it before, although obviously not properly noticed it. It's near Glasgow Green so shouldn't be too difficult to find. I discover the building now has a multi use and includes some apartments, a base for Sports Scotland and a bar/café. It is now called Templeton on the Green.
Also curious and intrigued by Vinagar Hill, in the Parkhead/Camlachie area, a circus and carnival site which became a winter residential area for the gypsey traveller community, most families moving to the Ayrshire coast in the summer.
And then the surprise of Buffalo  Bill's statue in the what was once the grounds of Whitehill Secondary school. Appropriately the next talk is about George Square and the statues and building therein.
