Hardknott Adventure

Possibly my best adventure since moving to the Lakes. We drove over the very narrow and very steep Wrynose and Hardknott Passes early in the morning to avoid the traffic and bikes . Parked at the foot of Hardknott Pass to walk up Eskdale and find some swimming spots. We found pools and waterfalls. I swam in 5 pools and climbed up behind the higher waterfall you can see in the picture . If you look carefully you can see at least two of my chums who have already clambered up. Not the chap right on the top who is keeping an eye on his wife from afar! The extra is proof of a happy me
