Red Damselfly

To Foulshaw Moss this afternoon.

The big draw is the nesting Ospreys. We were last here in early May when the female bird was sitting on eggs. We saw two youngsters today (at a considerable distance, not a photographic opportunity) sitting above the nest. The third flew yesterday, returning to the nest to be fed. The two remaining are flexing their wings, so they may fly tomorrow,

It is dragonfly and damselfly time, there were lots flying around. And butterflies too - a lot of large skippers. I managed a few shots, this is one of the better ones.

What I would love to see are adders, there are plenty around apparently.
