Coloring outside the lines

Today I took a friend to a painting class where you sip wine, listen to upbeat music, and are led in the steps of making a certain painting. I told her the purpose was not to come out with an excellent work of art, but to have fun in the process. And she managed to do both!
The last step of this painting was to add purple flowers at the bottom, but I wanted more color so I went rogue. The instructor called me a maverick!
