Empty Trafalgar Square Fan Zone at 9.30am

Decided to go up to London on an early train and cycle back with a friend. Not much traffic about but already loads of security guards around Trafalgar Square setting up and manning the entrances to the Fan Zone ready for tonight.
I’m glad I will not be there tonight! Apparently there was a ballot for entry to this fan zone ..for pairs of tickets and then two pairs sit at each table. The tickets are free. The extra shows the fourth plinth surrounded by hoardings. ( The fourth plinth will be changed in 2022 I saw the new designs in the newspaper this week and was not impressed). We also went to see the Covid wall near St Thomas’s Hospital and then cycled back via Chelsea, Fulham and Chiswick on the river towpaths where we could. 
Back in plenty of time to watch the tennis finals.
