The ‘walnut whip’

My daughter’s 14th birthday today and after a lovely morning of pressie and card opening and take away brunch from her favourite café (courtesy of eldest brother), she said she fancied a trip through to Edinburgh to see the new shopping centre.

Mum and Dad duly obliged and the 3 of us had a fun trip through to the capital.

The new centre has been called ‘the walnut whip’ due to its interesting roof design! Here’s a shot of it from a nearby street with The Melville Monument (column) also pictured.

I’m all for naming landmarks after chocolate - long may it continue!
