Rabbits and Beaches

This morning we took some stuff back to the car and bought some final bits and pieces (including pocket money sweeties) from the shop, then walked back the long way round where we saw lots of rabbits..  

We played a few games from CyclopsJnrs comic before lunch, then headed to the beach for the afternoon.

We dug deep holes (pictured), channelled streams through the sand, built paddling pools and defended castles from the incoming tide.  There was another family on the beach so CyclopsJnr had some other kids to run about and climb rocks with part of the time.  

We rounded off the day with smoked salmon on oatcakes, mince and tatties, lemon cake, tablet, and a few games of Mancala and Dominoes.
