Goslings

We did a shoe audit and found that basically CyclopsJnr is on the verge of all of his shoes falling apart or not fitting. Which is unfortunate because for school alone he needs: school shoes, break shoes, trainers, rugby boots and wellies. He also needs sandals and flipflops for our upcoming holiday and a pair of all-purpose shoes for at home.

So today we went to the shopping centre at Livingston and managed to get flipflops, sandals, break shoes and wellies. And a basketball. A good start. Then we went to Pizza Express.

After lunch we went to Almond Valley, a farm park where we used to go all the time when he was pre-school. Well it is still fun for bigger kids, he enjoyed the bouncy pillow and the toboggans and the zip line and the archaeology dig and various play areas. It was scorching hot day! Lovely.

But the highlight was meeting these five day old goslings. They were so soft and fuzzy. CyclopsJnr was gentle and interested and we hung about with them for ages because hardly anyone else had come inside for the meet the animals session as it was so nice out.
