Summer Amaryllis

Amaryllis bulbs are usually handed out as Christmas presents and if set off immediately, flower in January.

What happens to all the old bulbs? In our case, I forget about them and Len puts them out on the patio where they get plenty of rain. So much so that they stand in water for quite some time.

In addition to this splendid example which Len has brought into the conservatory, another two are shooting happily outside. Flowers will come.
