A Flurry of Dogs

Len drove Basil and me to Open Church this morning. Colin was there on duty. Sarah arrived with her two children and Ann popped in too.

After Len returned, a chap called Richard came into the church with five (or was it six?) dogs on leads. Len called them a flurry of dogs. All had been brought from Spain from rescue centres.

Basil touched noses with a couple but wasn't much bothered even though all but one were bitches.

Richard was keen to know which diocese St Botolph's belonged to and mentioned Nottingham. Colin and I realised he was talking about a Catholic diocese. He explained that his priest was about to retire and there was no one to follow on. Difficult for Catholics, they have to have a properly ordained priest to administer Mass.
