The train soon arriving....

....after a delay of 55 years will be the 7.30pm to East Grinstead! Next Saturday the Bluebell Railway, a heritage line running along the border between East and West Sussex, will be officially open and steam trains will once again run between Sheffield Part and East Grinstead.
This has been a huge project managed and run largely by volunteers and sees the realisation of a dream which will connect the line that closed in the 1950s. It has also been a huge civil engineering undertaking which has included the removal of part of a former landfill site in the 30-foot deep cutting just south of Imberhorne Viaduct which is today's blip.
There will be much celebrating here in the next few weeks, some of which I may be able to blip and very soon the real bluebells will be lining the route - now that really will be a magnificent sight!
