Today's the day ......................... to live life in the fast lane

Q.  Why did the pheasants cross the road?
A.  Because no-one had taught them about road safety - and, in any case, they're probably not long for this life, no matter what they do.  

I think the pens that they have been kept in up till now, must be near this bit of the road on the outskirts of Moniaive.  At this time of the year there are always dozens of young pheasants, jaywalking with complete abandon.  

It always seems very unfair that they should be brought into the world with the sole purpose of providing some sort of (bizarre) pleasure for a very few (rich) people...................?
