Setting the Setts

I went into town today to meet up with a former colleague who is selling up their (mainly Gin) shop.

It felt a bit decadent sampling different gins mid- morning (they were small samples!) but a selection for purchase was made.

Nearby, the Royal Mile ( the High Street) is closed for months as they reset the cobbles - or setts - which are a distinctive part of Edinburgh’s centre. Periodically, there is talk of tarmacing these roads but I am pleased that the traditional form is being maintained.

After the online abuse towards some England players, the extra expresses the impact I feel a minority has had on the country.
