The nearly-midnight Sun.
Today we "did" Inverewe gardens. As might be expected with "in XS" of 50-60 shots, even after ferocious pruning, the choice was hard.
I am informed that the Kilted Character was carrying a garden Fork and not a Musket - but - by the time I was told verification one way or t'other was touch more than impractical.
One thing, nothing to do with Inverewe, which caught our eye was the lateness of sunset.
Somewhere twixt 21:00 and 21:30 one of us noticed an orange glow just behind the trees on the campsite. We put it down to, possibly, "old-fashioned" Sodium vapour street lights - BUT - as the evening drew on we observed the glow doing a spot of mountain climbing - right up to the top; then vanishing dramatically. There was still almost sufficient light at approaching 23:00 to read by.
The unmentioned extra? Just a rose which caught my eye.
I located the Gardens, not the campsite = easiest way out.
