Gwrych Castle

I had to be up early this morning as our new sofa was being delivered and it arrived at 7.30am - I'm glad though as there's nothing worse than waiting around for a delivery.  Once the delivery men had left, Alan and I took the boys for a walk at the beach and than had bacon butties for breakfast, sat in the garden.

We were going to go to Bodnant Garden, but decided to go to Gwrych Castle instead.  Those of you who watch I'm a Celebrity last year will recognise it, and we're hoping it'll be held there again this year, as it's only about 4 miles from home.  One of the volunteer guides showed us where the celebrities slept, and we saw the privy and Cledwyn's Kiosk - it was really interesting to see, but also it's an amazing building with stunning views.

Tonight we drove to Rachel's as they're having Bobbie & Milou for us for the rest of the week as Alan and I are going away tomorrow for a couple of nights.  We were going to take the boys with us, but it'll be nice going without them as it means we're free to go where we want and not have to think about them, and Scarlett and Violet are very happy that they've got them to stay.

It’s 9 years ago today that we lost dad, where has that time gone! Thinking of him today, as always x
