6am Castleford
I was up first for a change and Frank had coffee in bed while I sat out on deck.
It was so lovely and peaceful.
I'm enjoying Hamnet immensely.
We set off early and we're now back in Leeds - it's becoming one of my favourite cities. I love the mix of old and modern architecture.
Also I can go to the Vegan Supermarket and buy cakes! Mmmmm - custard slices tomorrow :-b
Leeds Dock is a brilliant place for people watching. Lots of trendy, lithe young folk on their way to the gym or yoga, families out for walks and school kids - which I am happy to say are often in groups of mixed races and cultures and all chatting, joking and laughing together.
Across the marina is a large indian eatery called 'Mumtaz - The Selfie Restaurant'.
I walked past with Bella May just as an Asian wedding party arrived. I wish I could have taken a photo but my phone was on the boat charging. The bride was so beautiful in gold lace over silk and the bridesmaid's and guest's outfits so opulent in gold, silver, deep jewel colours and embellished with sequins and beads.
It's been gorgeous weather today and still is, though now it is very windy and the boat is being tossed about and creaking as the ropes are straining against the pontoon. It's like being on an old galleon on the ocean waves!
Goodnight and thanks for the comments, stars and hearts.
:-)X
PS the extras I forgot to put up yesterday are on now ;-)
