St George

Ignoring the fact that St George came from somewhere in Lithuania, his flag has been adopted as our national flag and debased by supporters all over the country.  At my golf club, the groundsmen had decided to embrace Englands success by sticking the flag of St George into the bank at the back of the 17th green.  Not that we made it to the 17th green, mind.  I think that would have been cutting it a little bit too fine!  12 holes and back in time for a beer before the football started.  Come on England!
