St Swithin’s Day

It’s a lovely warm sunny St Swithin’s Day and we enjoyed a walk at the beach this morning. 
If you believe in the old proverb then we’re in for 40 days of glorious weather. Personally I doubt it. 

St. Swithun's day if thou dost rain 
For forty days it will remain
St. Swithun's day if thou be fair
For forty days 'twill rain nae mare
