Thatching day!

Today was yard thatching day! It was a first around our house and quite the experience. We rented a machine for 2 hours and it was so fun to see how much stuff it could pull out of our grass. The kids also thought it was rather exciting. They filled their little John Deere wagon up over and over again to form this pile of dead grass. Then, they jumped through it, laid in it, ran through, etc. They pretty much did anything they could think of with that pile of dead grass.

They were having so much fun and we were having so much fun, that we skipped naps and everything. Because of that, I'm aiming for a 5:00pm dinner and a 6:30PM bedtime. Might make for a very relaxing evening. I'll have a full report tomorrow!
