Ventnor Botanic Garden
Today we met up with some relatives of my Mother and Aunt, who live on the Isle of Wight. Our rendezvous was the Ventnor Botanic Garden. It is one of my favourite places on the island, and today's visit didn't disappoint. There are wonderful displays of exotic plants from South Africa, Australia, Japan and the Mediterranean, to name but a few places,, flourishing in the protected, sunny microclimate of the garden.
This morning I went for a swim, in our hotel's outdoor pool, the first time for over two years; it was glorious!
