Fire tonight...just across the lake

Just as we were settling in to watch a movie, we saw smoke across the lake in the 'Bear Creek' area.
The main picture is one of three helicopters getting water from the lake to dump on the fire.


The extra is the smoke we saw across the lake.  There are emergency vehicles arriving in the area...but it is starting to get dark so the helicopters will have to end their flying.


Morning will tell whether they were able to contain the fire or if it has spread back into the mountains where there are numerous subdivisions.


Scary situation...everything is really dry with having no rain for months and a heat wave for over 2 weeks which dried out the forests even more...
